Lions Club of Mwanza Valentine participated in a Tree planting Program of TECO (Tanzania Environmental and Conservation Organization) at Butimba Prison Area on 1st December 2011 to celebrate 50th Aniversary of Independence of Tanzania (9th December).
TECO is having the plan of planting more than 20,000 plants in and around Butimba Prison Area and the program started from 1st December 2011 and ends on 8th December 2011.
Lions club of Mwanza Valentine contributed 1000 plants to TECO authorities and participated in the opening ceremony of the program on 1st Dec 2011 at Butimba. RC Lion Jashmina Mistry also took a part in the event. So many other organisations and companies participated in this program.
12 Lions participated and donated TShs 455,000 towards the activity.
