On the 24th of November, Mbarara Club was honoured to host the District Governor Lion Satish Sharma. Many activities were carried out and I thought it befitting that I send you some of the sights of his visit. He mainly did the following:
- · participated in the town beautification programme by planting trees on the town main lane
- · Visited and condoled the Late Lion Gudo Ahluwalia’s family;
- · Held a board and advisory meeting;
- · Visited selected club projects;
- · Inducted 2 lions and 5 Leos; and
- · Fellowship with the club members during the banquet in his honour.
The Club’s December activity will be to give alms to the poor whilst celebrating Christmas. We also plan to carry out a de-worming exercise to benefit over 200 children and 100 adults.
