Dear Club Leaders & Fellow Lions in the fraternity
RE: We Did it
I am extremely grateful to all Lions for successfully participating at the 8th Oct Lions World Service Day.
The event organized jointly by the clubs in the Region A in the fraternity of Dar es salaam on 9th Oct at Muhimbili National Hospital saw distribution of items like juices, cakes, bread, biscuits, fresh fruits, sweets, clothes, body lotions etc to more than 1800 patients with participation of 92 Lions and volunteers. The 92 Lions with their families and friends did not only give services but provided spirit of joy, fellowship and satisfaction.
The Unity and fellowship shown in this event will encourage the clubs in Zone 1 & 2 to organize more such events that utilize the able guidance from the District convenors and chairperson at all times. The guidance and leadership shown by the District Convenor Lion Talib Yusufali and District Chairperson Lion Natu Bhardvaj needs salutation and recognition. This has set an example for other district officers to emulate.
The presence of leaders including 2nd Vice District Govenor, Past District Governors, Region Chairperson Region B, Zone Chairpersons and District officers at the event was a great encouragement. A very big ASANTE SANA to them from the fraternity.
I also wish to thank and congratulate all the club leaders and members in Region A for a remarkable activity with anticipation for same spirit for the cause of 'WE SERVE" ,
