CHARITY WALK TO MARK WSD BY MWANZA VALENTINES

Dear Lions and Friends Greetings,

LIONS CLUB OF MWANZA VALENTINE organized a CHARITY WALK on 9^th October 2011 to commemorate WORLD SERVICE DAY. The Success of this walk was because of the efforts of Valentine members and their sponsors.

The Walk commenced from Mwanza Sports club at 8.00 a.m. and covered a distance of about 2KM.  More than 80 people walked and graced the event. Chief guest of the Event Lion Pravin Shah, RC Lion Jashmina Mistry, ZC Lion Jagdish Mehta, District Officers, Senior Lions, Leos, Rotarians, School Teachers, Students, Children and Babies participated enthusiastically in this event along with members of Lions Club of Mwanza Valentine.

By picking the plastics and litter which was thrown on the road Valentines showed a message to the public to Keep the City Clean.

After this Charity Walk, Chief Guest, RC, ZC, District Officers, Guests and members planted various varieties of fruit plants. 

We are very thankful to the 2 media Channels Barmedas TV and Mwanza Satellite for covering and telecasting the entire activities of the day.

I sincerely thank all the sponsors for their earnest contributions. A good part of the fund raised  will be used for Cataract operations for the needy.

Finally I would like to say that we could not do what we do without the donors. We and those “We Serve” will deeply appreciate all the donors’ generosity.
