Towards meeting the Lions international goal - The Lions Millennium Tree Campaign, Lions Club of Dar es Salaam Amani carried out a robust tree planting activity at Buyuni Primary School, Chanika.
The Convenor for Tree planting Lion Kaushik mentioned that 100 trees were planted at the school and thereafter a fellowship program was convened. Lion Shenaz Norey, the Club President appreciated the support given by all her members and lions from the fraternity.
The Chief Guest during the occasion was RC Lion Hyder Gangji. In attendance were the Zone Chairperson Lion Babul, PMCC/PDG Lion Majid Khan, District Chairperson for Environment and Tree Planting Lion Mushtaq Shah, other District Officers and club members.
LCIF INSISTS THAT YOU - Tell them about Your Tree Planting Project
Every month throughout the year, LCIF will report the progress Lions are making in planting a million trees around the world. Be sure to tell LCIF about your project and the number of trees your club has planted by completing the monthly Lions Club Service Activities Report.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words about Amani club. I am glad to learn that tree planting project and fellowship was held at Mbuyuni. I must have missed a lot of fun and service conducted by Amani club. I am writing this mail at 11.30pm after returning from Scotland. At 2.0 degree rain drops were almost freezing and becoming frosty. The outside temperature in Leigh is 7.0 degree and will likely go down at night.
I think I may have to melt my words before it reaches you!

My spouse Lion Nimira joins me in thanking your fine club for inviting us for your club's tree planting activity on sunday, 16th October, 2011. My congratulation to you and the members of your club for taking initiative in planting trees whcih is one of the imporant Lions international goal Known as Millenium Tree Planting. let this be a start and not the end of such activity.
Set a target of no's of trees planting during this lionistic year and your convenor for Tree planting Lion Kaushik should regularly undertake such activity as one done this sunday. He needs to be recognised for his efforts in planting 100 trees at Buyuni primary and Secondary schools at Chanika area. The fellowship program organised after the activity at Pdg/Pmcc Abdul Majeed Khan's farm house was also a notable fellowship activity which myself , ,my spouse and my granddaughter really enjoyed-- Ahsante sana.
The presence of the District Convenor for tree planting Lion Mushtaq Shah to witness the activity was also a good effort of your club for fulfilling the Distict Governor's directive for honoring the district leaders .
