The two-day Lions Quest meeting conducted and sponsored by Lions Clubs International ends today (Saturday) after what was described as a very fruitful workshop attended by about twenty delegates from seven African countries and India.
The meeting was conducted by Lions Quest International Coordinator, Kelly Young ably supported by Lions Quest Africa leader Dr. S.P. Amin (PID) and PID and Africa Leader Manoj Shah. The Dar es Salaam based ten-men Lions Quest Steering Committee spearheaded by PDG/PMCC Lion Abdul Majeed Khan acted as facilitators to the conference.It was wrongly reported earlier that the Fraternity Lions Clubs in Dar es Salaam acted as Facilitators; an issue which prompted the Region Chairperson Lion Haiderali Gangji to clarify the facts.
The grand dinner at the New Africa Hotel on Friday night (6th Jan) saw presentation of gifts, International Presidents Appreciation Certificates, large size group photographs of participants to all the delegates through the hands of Dr. S.P. Amin. All the members of the Steering Committee were presented with the lapel pin of International President Wing-Kun Tam and International Presidents Appreciation Certificates to some top leaders of the steering Committee, including PDG Abdul Majeed Khan.
Kelly Young was given loud applause by all participants when she was presented with appreciation memento and the large size group photograph of the participants in the Lions Quest Meeting. After today’s session, all the delegates will be preparing to leave for their respective countries on Sunday, as per their scheduled flights.
