LIONS CLUB OF MWANZA VALENTINE started their 2012 with sight first activities. They conducted Eye Screening Camp at Mabatini Primary school (around 5km from Mwanza) on 4th January 2012 and at Kanyama Primary school Kisesa (around 10km from Mwanza) on 5th January 2012.
About 250 people were screened at the Mabatini camp. At Kanyama camp, about 120 people were screened. The activities were well covered in the local media.
54 people found to require cataract surgery were admitted at Hindu Union Hospital and were operated by Dr. Kaji.
On 5th January 2012, Lions Club of Mwanza Valentine planted 50 plants in the premises of Kanyama Primary School. The plants were donated by senior Lion Shrish Patel.
