Ugandan Lions and Leos were found to be truly dedicated to the success of May 26-28 vaccination campaign against Measles.
The government believes measles is re-emerging in Uganda because parents and caretakers have not been taking children for immunizations. Lions and Leos across the country are helping to emphasize the importance of the vaccination campaign and be instrumental to reverse this trend.
The goal is to vaccinate nearly 6.5 million Ugandan children under the age of 5.
