HECTIC DAR CLUB VISITATIONS, CLIMAX ON SATURDAY

The District Governor’s seven-days seven-clubs official visitations appears to be too hectic but the energetic Lion Satish Sharma is full of high spirits after clocking more than four hundred kilometres of the whirlwind tour.
On Tuesday 24th January,  Governor Lion Satish Sharma’s convoy visited the primary and secondary schools at Mbuyuni in the outskirts of  Dar es Salaam. Tree plantations projects and distribution of seedlings were done to both the schools by the hosting club namely Lions Club of  Dar es Salaam City.
Later in the afternoon, the Governor held a special board meeting with directors and top leadership of the Dar es Salaam City Club under the coo l–and- shade of a huge mango tree. The farm house venue was provided by PDG/PMCC Lion Abdul Majeed Khan. Several other Lions including Vice District Governor Wilson Ndesanjo were in the entourage. Earlier the club distributed  hearing-aids to the deaf and dumb primary school of Buguruni through the Governor’s hands.
On the same evening, Lions Club of Dar es Salaam Amani hosted the Governor for a Special Board of Directors meeting under Presidentship of Lion Shenaz Noray. The club handed over a manual sewing machine to Hidaya Orphans Centre where 58 orphans are being taken care of. The centre was reduced to ashes a few months ago and ever since, the club had provided assistance to them. School stationary was also given to some students.
The club has also invited the District Governor to witness the Bagamoyo Pictorial Exhibition  on Saturday 28th January at the National Museum & House of Culture. The exhibition is jointly organized by Lions Club of Amani and Hodi Tanzania.
Lion Wilson Ndesanjo Vice District Governor will address the gathering followed by a talk on Bagamoyo, the first political and colonial capital of Deutch Ostafrika, under the German Imperial flag in the 1880s.
