MZIZIMA CLUB TOGETHER WITH JAIN SANGH CARRIED OUT A MEGA CATARACT CAMP AT CCBRT HOSPITAL FROM 9TH NOVEMBER TO 30TH NOVEMBER 2011. THEY HAD TARGETED TO SPONSOR MORE THAN 300 CATARACT SURGERIES.
THE LIONS TOGETHER WITH THE ZONE CHAIRPERSON LION ZAHIRA WITNESSED SOME OF THE SURGERIES BEING CONDUCTED AT THE CAMP.
"IT WAS INDEED A HECTIC DAY WHERE DOCTORS WORKED TIRELESSLY TO ACHIEVE A MISSION AT HAND", EXPRESSED LION MUSTAFA, THE CLUB SECRETARY.
THE ACTIVITY LED BY DISTRICT SIGHT FIRST CONVENOR LION SHANTI SHAH ASSURED THE NEEDY PATIENTS OF MAXIMUM SUPPORT. BY 15TH OF NOVEMBER 204 CATARACT SURGERIES HAD ALREADY BEEN CARRIED OUT SUCCESSFULLY. LION SHANTI FURTHER CONFIRMED THAT THE CAMP WOULD BE EXTEND UP TO THE END OF DECEMBER TO CATER FOR ADDITIONAL 102 CATARACTS.

ReplyDeleteThis is just to keep you abreast of Lions club of Dsm. Mzizima in partnership with Jain sangh's
commitment to achieving the target of conducting 303 operations at the CCBRT in Dar es Salaam.
We have identified patients who are incapable of affording these treatments and so far we have
already succeeded in organising 51 operations on children and 102 operations on adults.
The operations so far have crossed the 10 million TShs mark.
The statistical data of each patient are attached for your perusal.
We hope to achieve the target by the end of December
