CABINET SECRETARY'S NOVEMBER MESSAGE

Hope that this circular will find you all in best of health & prosperity. Four months have passed and in these last four months our district has suffered a great loss on the demise of many of our Lion Members and Family members; on Behalf of our District Governor and the entire membership we send our heartfelt condolences to the families, and pray to the Almighty Lord to give them strength to overcome this tragic loss and to grant their souls eternal peace Amen.

Our District Governor Lion Satish Sharma with his whole team wishes all the Members a very Happy Diwali and Prosperous New Year; Our District Governors First leg of club visitation was very fruitful in Uganda, he officially paid visit to the Lions clubs of Soroti-Iganga-Kakira and Jinja, he also made a point of meeting members of Lions Club of Mbale-Mukono and Kumi, whereby he has been assured that the clubs will reactivate and provide the services to the people of those areas,

Our District Governor Lion Satish Sharma also had the opportunity to meet our International President Lion Wing-kunTam in Nairobi Kenya during his visit to our Multiple District from the 20th till the 24th of October this year, many High level dignitaries from both Lions MD 411, Lions International and Kenya Government officials gave their presence at the activities organized by the Lions of Kenya.

The Month of October known as the month of Service in Lionistic Calendar was observed with Full participation from all the clubs in our District, many clubs as per their strength and efforts by members played an important role by caring out activities such as Eye Camps, Health camps, Fund raising, Distribution of Food and Clothing to various Hospitals and Orphanages, and keeping in mind the International Presidents Goals; many clubs planted Trees; all in all the month of October showed that Lions played their part very well by providing Humanitarian services in their respective areas,

October is also known as Membership Growth Month, but it was sad that only 3 New Members were reported to the International, my Dear Lions it is my humble request that you pay as much attention towards membership in your clubs, try retaining old members and secondly by pumping new blood into the club and inviting youngsters to join the family,

From the many correspondences that I have received from different clubs within our District, it shows that many clubs are under process of opening up LEO clubs within their areas, this is a very good approach in getting youngsters in to Lionism at grass root level, my Congratulations to all those clubs who are trying to bring Leo clubs as Club project for this Lionistic year.
