MZIZIMA LIONS REPORT ON THE FLOOD RELIEF ACTIVITY

Five members of Lions club of Dsm  Mzizima joined  many other members of the fraternity in donating food, soap and water on Monday 26th of Dec. At around 11.00am the lion members gathered at the Regional Commissioners office in Ilala with the noble intentions of  providing relief to the victims affected by the recent floods which have claimed more than 40 lives and made thousands homeless. 

Most of the victims have lost all their belongings and in the process putting them to unbelievable hardship.

After handing over the canter filled with the items to the centralised collection center amidst various government leaders,members of the press and the general public. The Regional Commissioner in his short discourse did praise the Lion members for their contribution towards this disaster.The process had been planned well in advance under the Regional Chairman involving all the clubs. 

Some of the Lions also personally witnessed the conditions prevailing for these unfortunate people. We pray that more aid is forthcoming and also hope that more Lions involve themselves in such activities to help the the needy in the true sense. The Lion members departed after the distribution was complete at around 12.30 PM. Mzizima's contribution 1 million TShs out of the total which was around 3.2 million TShs.
