LCIF RECENT GRANTS

LCIF has awarded two major catastrophe grants to support Lions-led disaster relief efforts:US$50,000 to Turkey is supporting earthquake relief and US$200,000 to Thailand for flooding relief. These donations were made possible by MD300, Taiwan, Lions donations to the "Area of Greatest Need" fund.

A US$75,000 grant was awarded to Ecuador, District G-1, to renovate and equip the Melvin Jones Medical Center. The updated space and equipment will allow the center to perform an increased number of eye surgeries and serve patients from the surrounding rural and urban areas.
