Being appointed to be Zone Chairperson for Lion Clubs of City, Mzizima and Pwani is indeed a privilege and a learning experience! These are few of the premier clubs of our District 411B that make us proud to belong to Lionism. They are doing their utmost to fulfil both District Governor, Lion Satish Sharma’s theme “SERVICE & SATISFACTION” and International President Tam theme “I BELIEVE - we can do it”.JULY 2011
• Club Officers to be well prepared and visit the Lions international Website on www.lionsclubs.org.
• Prepare your membership Directory and send copies to all your members. Plan your monthly or quarterly Newsletter.
• Along with your Membership Directors, look for service minded men and women to join your Club. Order your new members kit in advance. Membership kits are free for new members joining the Club.
• MMR & ACTIVITY REPORT should be sent on or before 20th July, ready for posting with the Minutes of the Board and Attendance Report. This should be done throughout the year on the 20th day of the month.
• Mark the dates for leadership and Orientation seminars and attend them.
• Prepare your activities and administration budget and send it to the Cabinet Treasurer.
AUGUST 2011
• Contact the zone chairperson for details about first DISTRICT GOVERNORS ADVISORY meeting and make arrangement to attend the same. It is mandatory for PRESIDENT, SECRETARY AND TREASURER to attend.
• ARRANGE meeting with your convenors to plan your activities and for well-attended club meeting.
• Promote Peace Poster contest. The last day to buy Peace Poster kits is 1st October 2011.
• Look for Prominent speakers to address your Club meeting.
• Start planning for your clubs major fund raising activity now.
• Attend the 1st CABINET MEETING IN DAR ES SALAAM in September 2011.
• Make arrangements to pay 1st Half International & District Dues by September 2011.
