The Lions of Kampala Central, together with Lions from Kasese, joined hands to put smiles on the faces of residents of Bunyarugu on Saturday, November 19, 2011.
The medical camp was held at Rugazi Health Centre IV in Rubirizi District where a r record of 2,659 people received free medical care for various ailments, with some of them undergoing surgery for abdominal complications (hernia) and cataract operations.
Furthermore, there was free breast and cervical cancer screening, voluntary HIV counselling and testing, and over 70 units of blood were donated. Thanks to the serving hands of Lions and Dr. Saul Cepado and Alicia, our friends from USA.
