The club members and doctors set out for an eye screening and treatment camp through the week 8th to 12th August 2011. Patients with TT were identified for surgery and those with other eye conditions were treated, while those with cataract and glaucoma were referred to the health facility where they were treated accordingly. They moved up and down Health centres in Iganga. The drug cost around UShs. 20,000/= a dose! All this is courtesy of the Lions Clubs International Fund through Lions Clubs of Entebbe and Iganga, sponsorship of about US $85,000.
