The ceremony was presided
by the Club President Lion Sara Qadri. In her address, she mentioned on the
need of creating a working relationship with high learning institutions like
University of Dar es Salaam. “In Education lies the future of developing any
country and the livelihood of its people”, she said.
Dr. Amina Kabudi, Director
of the UDSM Library, thanked the Lions for the donation and ensured that the
105 books given would be well catalogued so that they become reference material
for the students. She appreciated the gesture and requested for more such books
to cater for the continuously increasing University intake.
The activity took 5 hours
and was attended by 3 Lions and 1 Guest.
