  5. Lion Gudo Ahluwalia with her nephew Kaka Jr. died on Saturday evening 13th August in a motor accident on their way to their Mbarara home. The Late Lion Gudo was a Charter Member of Mbarara Lions Club since 1989. She went through the club ranks of Leadership up to Club President; she was Club President twice! Lion Gudo was a Zone and Region Chairperson, henceforth; she qualified to become a District Governor! She was a unique, loving and giving Lion, always representing and bailing out her club at the District conventions especially during the difficult years. Lion Gudo has held many cabinet offices at the District through out her Lionistic career up to her demise. She was the campaign chairperson for Immediate Past DG Lion Wilson and performed brilliantly. Lion Gudo has a heart for street children and always preferred to hold that position at District level. As a senior lion she performed many inductions and club installations in Western and Central Uganda.

The passing of Lion Gudo Ahulwalira was indeed a great loss to Lions, the Lions Club of Mbarara, and the community she lived and worked to see become better! We thank God for the means and ways he used Gudo’s short life to serve humanity and make such a big impact. We will sure miss her greatly! May the Almighty grant her soul eternal peace!
